Parents or guardians can drop off their children, but are expected to pick them up at the agreed-upon time. Register your childcare with KiddieCorp here.

The theme for this year’s childcare is:

Space Explorer Camp

Five, Four, Three, Two, One, Blast off! Let’s head into space in our astronaut gear and moon boots made out of paper bags. We will discover the different planets in our galaxy and search for life outside of Earth.

When we get back to our planet, we can rediscover gravity by tossing balls in the air with a parachute. We will play musical planets, moon, moon, star (our version of duck, duck, goose), and create space ships out of paper plates. So, let’s buckle our seat belts, prepare for countdown, and blast off to KiddieCorp Space Explorer Camp!

Please contact childcare@seattlein2025.org if you have any questions.

Welcome to the Cosmic Clubhouse!

Cosmic Clubhouse logoKids’ programming will be held on the 4th floor of the Summit building (where the rest of the convention is) in a program called “Welcome to the Cosmic Clubhouse”.

This program will have intermittent scheduled activities on each day of the convention, and will have static (always available) corners designed for self-directed play zones: i.e., book nook, art, imagination play. Scheduled activities will be generally good for 5–11 year olds with their adult guardian in attendance. An adult guardian or guardians must be present at all times—this is not childcare. The size of the room allows for these corners to be away from the central activities, which will help with families who have multi-aged children. For example, one corner will have kid-size seats with books, another corner will have toddler-size tables and chairs for coloring or self-initiated art making, and another corner will have larger toys, a rug with roads for cars, a play kitchen, and perhaps something else for climbing around on. The hope is that this works well for mixed ages in a family. There is no charge for this program outside convention memberships.

Scheduled Programming for Youth & Tweens/Teens

Additionally, the official program has a full schedule of craft projects, story times, music, creative classes, and other entertaining mayhem for youth of all ages, including everything from Drag Queen Story Hour and Poetry Mad Libs to painting rocks. Teens and Tweens can expect activities targeted to their interests, including crafts, games, panels, and teen-only meetups.

Tween/Teen Lounge

Teens and Tweens will also have use of a lounge just for them—no unaccompanied adults allowed!—to decompress and hang out during the convention, including scheduled socials and activities to bring folks together. We’ll be hosting workshops and panels, trivia and games, arts and crafts and have a reading nook. Come trade, talk, and charge your devices! We can’t wait to hang out with you!
