Local Flavor: Seattle Dogs

The Seattle Dog’s origins are unclear, but a hot dog topped with cream cheese and sautéed onions and served on a pretzel roll (preferably from a food cart) has earned its spot in the city’s odd food traditions. Popular among the sports fan and late-night bar crowds, the Seattle Dog became commonplace during the grunge scene of the ’90s, sold mostly by street vendors and bars. If you’re looking for a Seattle Dog during Worldcon, Dogs in the Park is a short walk from the convention center.
