Our schedule is live and still being added to; our merchandise store is open; Hugo Award voting closes soon; announcing our film festival winners; our Fringe calendar has been expanded and is looking for volunteers; race kinetic sculptures in a Sunday workshop; there are two remaining business meeting sessions; and childcare services are available through KiddieCorp.

Newsletter June 2025: So Many Cosplay Opportunities!

Masquerade registration is open, and we’ll have lots of other cosplay opportunities; site selection voting is open; it’s almost time for the business meeting to start; fan tables, dealers’ room, and art show participant lists are live; the Fringe schedule has added a few more activities; there will be no Chesley award at Worldcon this year; the Community Fund could use donations; the Film Festival has listed all of its films; there will be traffic construction impacting I-5 during Worldcon; KiddieCorp will be handling childcare; and we can use more volunteers; and another reminder of the business meeting schedule!

Statement From Worldcon Chair

I am writing this statement in order to share the status of Seattle Worldcon’s current journey through living up to our theme of Building Yesterday’s Future—For Everyone. We have received a number of concerns asking how the convention will respond to orders and actions of the U.S. government, which we condemn, that create hostile conditions and travel barriers for LGBTQ+ members and international members.
