Local Flavor: Olympic Peninsula Cider Route

If you like hard cider, you’re in the right place. Washington grows more apples than any other state, and that includes cider varieties. If you’re looking for a fun and scenic road trip, try the Olympic Peninsula Cider Route, where you can see gorgeous scenery, taste a variety of local ciders and wines, and eat fantastic farm-to-table meals. Port Townsend, the epicenter of cider on the Peninsula, is a charming town, and it is accessible via ferry across Whidbey Island or by driving “the long way around”—either route will show off the natural beauty of the Puget Sound region.
