For more than 30 years, Piroshky Piroshky has been supplying downtown denizens and tourists alike with both sweet and savory hand pies at Pike Place Market. They hand-make at least 32 varieties of these portable eats every day, making it an excellent choice for a lunch you can walk around with. Though the shop’s roots are Russian, the range of flavors is broader than those found in traditional Eastern European recipes—including an apple-cinnamon swirl that shows its Northwest bona fides. There’s also a Piroshky Piroshky attached to the building our Worldcon is in—the Seattle Convention Center Summit—so you won’t have to go far to try them!
